The challenge
Spenta Consulting worked closely with Microsoft in developing the Digital Cities initiative, which was selected for a migration to a new version.
This new version was based on some of the newest Microsoft technology and products, initially in Beta version
The solution
The Digital Cities accelerator allowed small and mid-sized city governments to provide their citizens and local businesses a range of information and transactional services normally inaccessible due to high costs in implementation and maintenance.
Based on Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 and integrated with other Microsoft technology and products, the end result is a wide range of tools which work conjunctively, demonstrating how Microsoft technology can help meet the objectives of local and regional governments.
