The challenge
The European Regional Information Society Association (eris@) is a European body promoting the cooperation between regions in Europe to foster the use of information technology.
eris@ opted for a complete overhaul of its original portal and committed to using the most advanced Microsoft technology.
A strategic accord between eris@, Microsoft and Spenta Consulting paved the way for the solution to be integrated into the version v3 of Microsoft’s Solution Sharing Network (SSN).
This project has been a great opportunity for Spenta Consulting to consolidate its position as one of Microsoft’s main partners in Europe.
The solution
Spenta Consulting brought its pioneering experience in MOSS 2007 to the design of a collaborative tool where users have maximum control over generating and updating content.
The finished project rests upon three main axes:
Usability: the new information architecture facilitates navigating between related content and improves the visibility of the most relevant content.
Technology: by working with Beta versions of SSN v3 and MOSS 2007, the client’s specific requirements were met.
Graphic Design: essential work was done on customizing templates, lending the project a unique look and feel which is both elegant and functional.
Since the portal’s launch, European regions now have a new tool at their disposal for exchanging knowledge and experiences concerning information technology projects.
