At the ISU 2008 held in Berlin, Microsoft and Spenta Consulting presented the latest version of CSP (Citizen Services Platform).
Jordi Plana, General Manager of Spenta Consulting, along with James Brown, Microsoft Worldwide Public Sector Architect, had the task of presenting those in attendance with the newest version of the CSP platform, the comprehensive set of tools providing local and regional governments with quick and efficient solutions development and implementation, all in a Microsoft package.
This latest version offers new content architecture suitable for both the general public and civil servant management tasks, not to mention a new design that can be distributed throughout the platform.
The new CSP provides many more functions such as blogs, integration with Virtual Earth, forums, or a new meteorological information service. What is more, the new CSP offers new integration functions for Microsoft CRM 4.0.
Several samples developed by Spenta Consulting were presented: the integration of a CTI with CSP, integration with MOSS to store documents associated to the general public or the integration of MOSS document libraries with CRM 4.0.
The general feedback from event attendees was very positive. In the words of James Brown, "Creating a new interface for CSP was really important; the old interface didn’t fit the dynamic new image we needed. Spenta had a lot of experience in this arena and had developed some really fantastic designs for the new sites. It’s also worth underscoring how well-thought-out they are; the lighter style brings out the content in the graphics, and the use of photographs makes updating easier, without having to bring in the graphics experts. Spenta has brought in a fresh new graphic interface that’s a pleasure to use".
