The Registration and Authentication Module for SharePoint 2010 (SharePoint 2010 RAM) built by Spenta allows an unlimited number of users to register and login to a SharePoint 2010 web portal (Internet Sites license).
This new component based on FBA (Forms Based Authentication FBA) technology enables organizations to publish their SharePoint 2010 portal on the internet to support customers or users areas at no Microsoft CAL licensing costs.
Spenta's SharePoint 2010 RAM version 1.0 enables core functionalities so your users can register and complete primary tasks. These are:
- Log In Page: enables to authenticate and access internet portal secured area.
- Forgot your Password: sends the password to user's email
- Registration Form: collects user information to be stored on SharePoint 2010 profile.
- Change Password: allows existing users to change their password
- User registration moderation: requests are not automatically approved, you can accept or deny them before SharePoint 2010 profile is created.
- Secured access: RAM supports HTTPS access.
You can customize all its components with your own Logo and enterprise color. Other customizations like additional registration fields or Captcha are also supported under request.
